NEW ZEALAND CLAIM SERIES WIN
New Zealand won the ODI series against England 3-1 yesterday after winning the final match by 51 runs as England were bowled out for 215.
COLLINGWOOD BANNED FOR FOUR MATCHES
England's One Day captain Paul Collingwood has been banned for the next four games that England play after his shocking captaincy yesterday. He slowed the over rate down and then sent Grant Elliott walking after allowing Pieterson to run him out when he had been tripped over by Ryan Sidebottom and was still on the ground and the umpires asked if he wanted to let Elliott stay on knowing it was bad sportsmanship.
Collingwood will miss the next ODI against New Zealand. England's one off ODI against Scotland the only Twenty20 between England and South Africa and the first ODI of seven against South Africa. Peiterson is thought to be the stand in captain.
Gloustershire Collapse as Worcestershire claim easy victory
The Kricket.net team had the privelege of watching Gloucesstershire face of against Worcestershire in Bristol in the directors box last night. Worcestershire posted 152/8. Worecestershire were 91/6 but Batty came in and saved them with an aggressive 29 not out. Gloucestershire never really got going and were bowled out for 93.
Zimbabwe tour of England cancelled
Zimbabwe's tour of England next year has been cancelled and there is talk of banning Zimbabwe from world cricket. England will be looking for a new team to tour in 2009.
Marsh top scorer on debut
Son of Geoff Marsh, Shaun Marsh scored an amazing 81 in Australia's easy win against the West Indies in the first of 5 ODI's. Along with the help of keeper Brad Haddin who scored 50 Ausralia posted a decent total of 273/8 and West Indies replied with an appualing 189 all out.
Napier brakes Twenty20 record.
Graham Napier slogged a massive 152 not out against Sussex the other day as Essex managed to whack their way to 242/3 of their allocated 20 overs. Napier's huge knock is the highest ever scored in the twenty20 cup and is the second highest scored in the whole history of twenty20 cricket. Napier hit 16 sixes in his fantastic innings and and 10 fours that's 136 runs scored from boundarys!

Trescothick scores maiden twenty20 century
Marcus Trescothick became one of the few people to score a century in Twenty20 cricket yesterday in Somerset's victory over Worcestershire at Taunton. Trescothick's 107 is the second century so far in the tournement, South African Gaeme Smith scored the other for Derbyshire.
NORTHAMPTONSHIRE SNEAK IT IN THE LAST OVER
Teams posted totals of 200 plus all round the country today however Glamorgan just missed out on making the list when they collapsed in the last 2 overs. The dragons were well set for victory provided they didn't loose a wicket and played a few slog type shots but that would be an easy task with Hercshelle Gibbs in on 98. But the task proved to be a bit harder as Van der Wath caught Gibbs on the boundary and then Louw came in and took two wickets in the last over leaving Glamorgan in dispair.

In todays thriller twenty20 match between Northamtonshire and Glamorgan Northamptonshire posted a stunning 207/4 led by David Sales who scored his tenth fifity in twenty20 cricket and passed 1000 runs.
O'Brian dismissed as Northants fire
Irishman Neil O'Brian was dismissed after scoring a well hit half century for Northhamptonshire and set them of to a flyer against Glamorgan. Northants are currently 154/2 of 14 overs
AUSTRALIAN CRICKETING GREAT'S WIFE PRONOUCED DEAD
Great Australian bowler Glen McGrath's wife Jane McGrath died yesterday aged 42 after complications from surgery to help heal her many cancers, she suffered breast, hip and brain cancer. Over the last week her health had started to seriously decline and eventually she passed away in hospital with Glen and her two children by her side.
Australia claim easy win over University Of West Indies Vice Chacellors XI
Australia were strong with the bat against University of West Indies Vice Chancellors XI with a big total of 337/6 with a great 95 scored by Shane Watson and 3 aggresive fifties contributed between Mike Hussey, Micheal Clarke, and David Hussey. U.O.W.I.V.C XI collapsed and only posted a mere 126 all out at a very slow run rate. There was no punch in the U.O.W.I.V.C XI's innings except for a nice 43 scored by familiar face Danish Ramdin.
New Zealand Claim Absolute Thriller
After posting a mere 182 all out the kiwi's faught back hard and managed to bowl England all out for 160. Young Tim Southee took 4 wickets for just 38 runs out of his 10 overs and South African Grant Elliot shined with the bat and ball by scoring the only half century of the match and bowling 2-9 of 5 overs. After this great performance and a great effort at Edgbaston this makes Elliott a candidate for Player of the Week.
Both teams will go to the Oval knowing it is a must win match.
NEW ZEALAND SET ENGLAND AN EASY TARGET
New Zealand posted a poor total of 182 all out against England in Bristol today. The Kiwi's big players weren't up to the task today with players like Taylor, How (Pictured) and McCullum all going out early. With the help of Grant Elliot and Kyle Mills New Zealand rebuilt their devastating innings after being 110/7. Grant Elliot posted a quiet and slow 56 whilst Mills beat his ODI high score and slogged his way 47 however missed out on his maiden fifty by being caught on the last ball of the innings.

Near the end of last nights thriller match between Somerset and Worcestershire there was a slight interuptance on the field near the closing of Worcestsershire's innings. The crowd cheered, Graeme Hick stared blankly, and the security gaurds chased with anger.
